Holiday season story- The Nutcracker Prince

I've started working on this two-part story since Oct. It almost seemed like a longer project with the pregnancy. I spent most of the time on penciling and revising after getting feedback, and like many of the similar story projects, I enjoyed the coloring process the most.
I loved the Nutcracker story when I was a kid, so it was fun to create my own version.

Working on the Great Gatsby fan art

I was super excited when I saw the first trailer came out for the Great Gatsby.
Been a big fan of the director, Baz Luhrmann since Romeo and Juliet.

I did this piece inspired by the trailers, the images from the movie, and the novel itself.
The Klimt inspiration reflects Daisy's material world.

“If it wasn’t for the mist we could see your home across the bay," said Gatsby. "You always have a green light that burns at the end of your dock." Daisy put her arm through his abruptly but he seemed absorbed in what he had just said. Possibly it had occurred to him that the colossal significance of that light had now vanished forever. Compared to the great distance that had separated him from Daisy it had seemed very near to him, almost touching her. It had seemed as close as a star to the moon. Now it was again a green light on a dock. His count of enchanted things had diminished by one.”

Cute little Easter bunny

I did this portrait of my niece Sophia as a birthday present.
Also as a sample for my Etsy store.

She's the cutest little girl I ever met and I had great time painting her smile :)

Opossum and the search for Fire

Haven't done a children's story in traditional media in a while. I choose this project for it cus it had a lot of pages and the elements I wanted to play with. Animals, tribes, fire, dark nights. It turned out to be a challenge and lots of fun.

Been watching the show for years now. Characters come and go... Cristina's dramatic facial expression and her puffy hair remain the same lol
