I've started working on this two-part story since Oct. It almost seemed like a longer project with the pregnancy. I spent most of the time on penciling and revising after getting feedback, and like many of the similar story projects, I enjoyed the coloring process the most.
I loved the Nutcracker story when I was a kid, so it was fun to create my own version.
“If it wasn’t for the mist we could see your home across the bay," said Gatsby. "You always have a green light that burns at the end of your dock." Daisy put her arm through his abruptly but he seemed absorbed in what he had just said. Possibly it had occurred to him that the colossal significance of that light had now vanished forever. Compared to the great distance that had separated him from Daisy it had seemed very near to him, almost touching her. It had seemed as close as a star to the moon. Now it was again a green light on a dock. His count of enchanted things had diminished by one.”
Haven't done a children's story in traditional media in a while. I choose this project for it cus it had a lot of pages and the elements I wanted to play with. Animals, tribes, fire, dark nights. It turned out to be a challenge and lots of fun.
